How we created a well-connected Connections Issue.

The September Issue was finalized at 4.00 AM today. We were finally ready to deliver the fruit of 3 months of image curation, selection, of interviews prepared, taken, transcribed and reviewed. Like good “landowners” we cultivated fruit for the 3 months of summer, and finally, in this beginning of fall, we were ready to harvest. Enjoy the visual feast on your tables!

In selecting images for this issue, two things were key: first, the images had to speak about, or explore the concept of Connections. But that was not the only criterion. These visual and conceptual explorations of connections, had to, for the purposes of fitting into the entirety of the magazine publication, somehow connect with one another.

We would like to thank all who respected our desire to have a Connections-themed issue, (because they were not many). Also, we have to admit that there were some images we really liked, that unfortunately didn’t make it into the issue, because…we had to make everything fit!
